About Arcopedico Shoes
Arcopedico footwear was created in 1966 by Professor Elio Parodi. A scientist of anatomic ergonomy, Dr. Parodi wanted to create a shoe that would provide arch support such that the body’s vertebral structure is kept in a natural position. Over the years, this brand has evolved into a variety of styles to reflect the changing lifestyles of its customers. Arcopedico shoes, boots, and sandals are handmade in Portugal and excel in supportive, lightweight comfort.
Arcopedico Technology
Arcopedico footwear reflects three basic technical traits:
- Techno-Elastic Uppers
- Anatomic Footbed
- Twin Arch Support System
Uppers are made from either Lytech® stretch fabric or leather, both of which are breathable and mold to your feet. The footbed is made from latex and cork, which provide increased cushioning and metatarsal support. The polyurethane outsole is durable and lightweight, and provides good traction. The outsole is also orthopedically designed and built with twin arch supports that distribute your weight evenly over the entire foot.
